Beau Nathaniel Whiting - Part I
We are thrilled that our little man, Beau Nathaniel Whiting is finally here. He is such a sweet little guy and the girls already just love him and love being around him. We checked into the hospital on Wednesday night and started the process of being induced. Megan wasn't due until the 27th, but has pretty high blood pressure and so the doctor recommended being induced. With the help and support of great friends watching the girls, I was able to stay with Megan at the hospital. Thursday the get the contractions going, but things were moving pretty slowly most of the day. The most excitement from early on came when Megan was walking in the halls and while I was getting in the shower, I accidentally hit the emergency cord when I moved the towels. Luckily the nurses didn't barge in on me, but I am pleased to report that their response time is excellent!
Any way, it was a pretty slow day getting Megan fully dilated and for a while it was looking like it was going to be a late night. Thankfully, Megan was fully dilated at about 7:45 and when the Dr. got there at about 8 pm, she was ready to go. And less than 10 minutes later, our little guy was here! It was a smooth delivery and Beau was great. We only had to stay one night which was another great blessing.
And more great pics from when we got home. Enjoy!!
