I like Ikea!

So last weekend we went on a little car trip to visit Megan's brother Rob and his family in Charlotte, NC. We planned to drive to Knoxville, Thursday night, but got snowed in right in the middle of Kentucky. It was a pretty crazy snow storm and we had to stop and get a hotel in London, Ky. (Some of you may remember that I have a special place in my heart for London, Ky because that is where I learned to drive when I was 11 years old, thanks to Brad Wells.)

Anyway, we had a great time with Rob and Flori and they treated us to excellent food, and good times playing Wii Fit with the girls, going to a children's museum, a mexican store, the campus where Rob works, and we also went to their new Ikea store. For those that haven't been to an Ikea, it is quite an adventure and we had a good time. When we were looking in the children's section, Maggie started to climb into one of the beds to try it out. I told her that she needed to get out because they don't want children to get in the beds with their shoes on. Well about three minutes later I turn around to see Maggie getting into a different bed, but don't worry, this time she took her shoes off and they were sitting on the floor next to the bed. It was quite funny to see these shoes sitting by the side of the bed and I had to do some more explaining to do.

It was a great time and we figured that now we have visited all of our siblings now so we are done traveling for a while. Well maybe not, but we had a great time so thank you Rob and Flori.

I'm with Maggie, take off the shoes and crawl right into bed! I visited my first IKEA outside of Herriman and was very impressed with the Swedish meatballs. It's always about food with me! I'm glad you were able to manage the snow in KY on your trip. We woke up to our first snow of the year this morning in CARLSBAD!

Let's Skype soon, I need to SEE you guys. Love, Mom
